In this regard, it was interesting to note that among David\u2019s papers was this letter on the Band\u2019s appearance on The Peter Starstedt Show<\/em>, recorded on Sunday 10 August 1969, at Broadcasting House. Apologising for the early hour (09.30) on a Sunday morning, while pointing out that others could go back to bed after recording three songs, David had to stay on for a chat with Peter\u2026<\/p>\n

Two songs of those recorded, Canon Dale<\/em> and Song of a Sad Little Girl<\/em> are included on A Glimpse of Heaven<\/em>, a comprehensive compilation of Strawbs radio and TV sessions,\u00a0 1966\u00a0 – 1984, an exciting an exciting Cherry Red \/ Esoteric Recordings addition to the Strawbs catalogue..<\/p>\n
